SSO and SLO definition

SSO - Single Sign-on

Single sign-on (SSO) allows users to use a variety of web services of Graz University of Technology by using a single ID and password to gain access to a connected system without further registration.

The implementation of single sign-on to a web service is based on an extension of the SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) standard. The use of single sign-on and the associated automatic logon to other web services at TU Graz makes everyday tasks easier.

SLO - Single Logout

Single Logout (SLO) allows users to log off centrally from all single sign-on services of Graz University of Technology all at once. A central logout increases security and terminates the current session on the authentication system.
